Missionaries to Mexico: Pastor Fermín and Lucy Jiménez
Bible Baptist has been ministering in México for many years. Many of our church members are originally from México. One family in particular, Agustin and Carmen Garcia could not rest until Pastor McCubbins visited their home towns and shared the gospel message with their family and friends.
This was the beginning of our branch works in Chihuahua, San Juanito, and El Ranchito.
At that time, Bible Baptist Church did not have missionaries to send who could work full time in these towns, but the Garcias were willing to make frequent trips to visit and encourage those who had been saved and endeavor to reach others with the Gospel.
We thank God for their part in the ministry.
Fermín and Lucy Jimenez have said “yes” to God’s call to serve as full-time missionaries in San Juanito. They previously planted a church in Chetumal, Mexico. God is blessing; the work is growing and Fermín looks forward to starting a Bible College to train leadership for the future of the work.
Vacation Bible School
In 2002, Bible Baptist Church began sending a mission team to San Juanito each summer to spend a week and hold daily Vacation Bible School classes for the children and nightly evangelistic services with the goal of reaching others with the Good News of Salvation.
San Juanito gets a church building
With the help of a construction team from Bethel Baptist Church in Sellersville, PA, a group of our members went to San Juanito, Mexico and built a church building for them.
